James F. Konieczny, age 80, of Oak Forest, IL went to heaven on March 15, 2021.
He is the loving husband to Carol; devoted father to Karen (Dan) Ahern, James Konieczny, Richard (Dawn) Konieczny, Robert Konieczny and Kathy Hoolehan; proud grandfather of Michael (Colleen), Robert (Kate), Kevin, Lauren, James, Brittany, Danielle, Richard, Lillian, Timothy, Robbie, Kate and Zoe; great-grandfather to Grace, Riley, Ellie, Braden and Aiden; cherished brother to Tom (Maureen) Konieczny, MaryAnn Meyer and Diane (the late Ken) Paulini; brother-in-law to Linda (Ray) Bienias, the late Butch Sefcik and Rick Shipbaugh; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Jim retired as a union carpenter at Anning-Johnson after 44 years of service. Faithful member of St. Damian Catholic Church. Jim was avid golfer, enjoyed playing Bridge, and was a zealous Chicago sports fan. He also volunteered in various organizations.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Brady-Gill Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Damian Catholic Church. Those wishing to guarantee a time to visit with the family are encouraged to RSVP on his obituary page on the Brady-Gill website. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made towards JDRF and Mercy Home For Boys and Girls.
