Obituary

Elizabeth P. Shimkus, age 106, of Lemont, IL formerly of Tinley Park, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2021 just hours after her only daughter preceded her in death on Good Friday.

Elizabeth was the loving wife to the late Charles; beloved mother to the late Marie Shimkus; proud grandmother to Alan Korpalski Jr., Renee (David) Jaremowicz, and the late Laura Korpalski; cherished great grandma to Andrew, Joshua, Deanna, the late Jacob, and Grace; devoted sister to the late Stella, the late John, and the late Clem; treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth and her daughter Marie will share visitation on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 3:00-9:00 pm at Brady-Gill Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth and Marie will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (9300 W. 167th St.; Orland Hills, IL). Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Casimir Catholic Church.
