Edith “Ruth” Westberg, age 94, of Tinley Park, IL, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021 with her loving family at her side.
Edith is the loving wife of the late Karl Westberg; beloved mother to Linda (Ron) Davison, Carey Westberg, Darlene (Tim) Fuller, and Kurt (Lori) Westberg; proud grandmother to Amy (Kevin Salzstein) Charvat, Bill (Bailey) Charvat, Rebecca Westberg, and Ryan Westberg; devoted daughter to the late Herman and Lillian Lazerson; cherished sister to Jack, the late Chuck, Geraldine, and Florence; aunt to many.
Edith amassed over 8000 master points, achieving the esteemed rank of Emerald Life Master. Edith was the first in winning the Mini McKenny Race for 15 years. She was an asset to the game of Bridge and long-standing board member of the South Suburban Bridge Club.
She was a talented equestrian and was also a world traveler, especially enjoying cruises.
Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021 from 1:00pm until the time of her memorial service at 4:00 pm at Brady-Gill Funeral Home (16600 S. Oak Park Ave.; Tinley Park, IL 60477). She will be laid to rest in Bethania Cemetery at a later date.
