I am grateful for the Dougherty family friendship and kinship over the many years during my courtship with Michael. Al and Eileen, Billy, Maureen, John and Bobby and their exrended families always made me feel very welcomed. Know that I genuinely care about each of you. My sympathies also to Aunt Betty, Uncle Pat and Uncle Bobby. I will always remember his smile and forever will here his voice saying "Hello Jo". I truly feel blessed and hope all of Al's family and friends can take comfort knowing he is in good company up in heaven. Josephine

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Dougherty clan, so many of whom have served and are serving the city of Chicago and her people. Al was a sweet and generous person and the folks at St. Leonard's and Grace House will miss his visits, his stories and his gifts. God bless him and all of you.
