I'm sorry Lou died suddenly and I regret I did not take the opportunity within the last few weeks to say hello and thank him for his enthusiastic teaching and mentoring.

I've been told by a number of people that I should teach, and it does hold a certain attraction. But it is only because of a few Teachers (with a capital T) like Mr. Lou Patras that such an idea is conceivable. Mr. Patras was clearly the best Teacher I had in high school, and besides the valuable academic skills he passed on, I respected him most for the consistent respect he showed to the students. The world will miss him long after he's gone due to the character he'll no longer be instilling in yet another generation of young people. God Bless-

Sorry to hear of your loss. My brothers and sisters and I were all students of his and he was a good teacher. I heard he saw my brother-in-law at the reunion and he looked good, we heard about it on Thursday night and we were very surprised. God Bless you and you are all in our Prayers. We were out of town and couldn't be there tonight. If we can do anything please feel free to call. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

I believe that He will be there to comfort you during this time.

Know that through all of this you are never alone.

Remember and the love will never die, and Mr. Patras' spirit will continue to soar.
