I first got to know Don by being invited to play golf with him and then forturnate enough to be part of the annual tournament that Don helped organize every year either in Myrtle Beach or Naples.

The more I got to know Don the more I realized how important his family was to him and also his faith.

His friends looked up to him with great admiration and he was a true friend to them.

It was an honor to know him. He will truly be missed.

I am so very sad to read of his passing. I extend my condolences to his wife and family. Don was a great man who always treated me with kindness and humility. I have never worked for a more kinder or gentler person. I will remember him with fondness the rest of my life.

Dear Members of the Bettinardi Family,

I have many fond memories of Don while attending Valpo and playing football with Joe and Jim. I have never forgotten the kindness Don and Eveleen showed my mother before, during and after football games. As a widow, going to our games was lonely. But, Don always made it a point to bring my mother into the circle of festivities before and after the games. His gregarious energy made all feel welcome, safe and happy.

You have been blessed by the Lord Our God to have so many experiences with Don. I pray that you will find peace knowing that Don is still serving our Lord;only now, it's in heaven.

Warmest Regards,

The Geer Family

A great mind,is one that is always contributing,th inking of ways to make things better,a very unselfish man giving credit to others, that was my pal Donnie! I learned from him,he was my mentor, and he left me with great memories, but also with a great void in my heart,in time that void will gently heal, but not right away.
