John has been in my life for many, many years. He has always been there. He was the most caring, understanding, and patient person I have ever met. He always saw the glass being half full, not half empty. He could find good in almost everything and everyone. He always had a good time wherever he went, and always made people laugh. Me and John had our differences, our good times and our bad times. I just wish I knew then what I know now. The love my mom had for him and the love he had for her can't be described in words. It's the kind of love some people spend their whole lives looking for. For that, and many other reasons, I love him dearly. I think about him all the time, wishing I can tell him things I never had a chance to say. I wish he was here, for me to see and spend time with. But, he is now spending eternal life with God, and that he deserves. I love you and miss you.

I look back on the days of vacations in California, family get-togethers, pinochle games, football Sundays, days on the riverboat and racetrack; and my heart is filled with sweet memories.

My step-father was one of the most caring and loving people I ever met - the kind of person who would give you his last dollar.

My most loving husband.

I know that you know how much I loved you, but the emptiness that I feel right now is something neither of us could imagine.
