I got to know Steve and his long-term girlfriend Lucy through the Singles Club that myself and my friend, neighbor Mark Szulczewski were part of for many, many years. Even after it ended, Steve & Lucy kept those friendships going afterwards. They were very kind and caring people and will be missed by Mark and I as well as many. It's very sad that they are both gone, but nice to know they are together again in Heaven! R.I.P.

I met Steve and Lucy and their singles club members about 13 years ago at the train station downtown. I was on my way home from a Sox game, and they were going to Ravinia for a concert. Had a great time talking to them on the train and we became friends. Since then I moved to Florida, but when I come up to Chicago, I always called them ahead of time and met them at the ball park. The last time I saw them was in September, 2012 when I met them at the ballgame. Steve and Lucy were a really amazing couple. It was easy to see how much they loved each other. I know they're resting in peace together. It was great getting to know them.

I only knew Steve a short time. We joined him and Dorothy at a sox / Cubs game this past summer and I enjoyed his dedication to the sox and his boisterous banter that day. May he rest in sweet peace.

Long time friend from the St. Mary's On Track Singles. You lost your best friend Lucy not long ago. Now, may you both be together in heaven. I know you'll do all you can to help the Sox from there!
