My husband, Dave, and I send our condolences to everyone. I am very happy to have reconnected with my father's side of the family several years ago, because I got to get closer to Uncle Bill and his family as well as all to all.

It saddens me to hear of Bill’s passing. His son Larry was my best friend and whether we were at his house, or even staying with Bill’s relatives in Reynoldsville, I was always welcomed with open arms. Spending so much time with Larry, Bill’s house was like my second home and thus, he became like a second father to me. When I was young, in most households, it felt like there was a barrier between parents and children that greatly restricted interaction. At Bill’s home, however, those barriers did not seem to exist and I learned a lot from the honest conversations we had.

As I write this, I am flooded with fond memories of Christmas celebrations, days in the backyard pool, and futile rabbit hunting excursions. I live in Colorado now and the chances are that I would have never seen Bill again, but his death leaves me with an immense sense of loss. He will be greatly missed and I will always cherish my memories of Bill and the numerous friends I came to know at his home. I extend my sincere condolences to his friends and family.
