Edward G. Burns, age 76, US Army Veteran. Beloved husband for 35 years to Tammy. Loving father of Mary (Jason) Wood, Lee (Rachel) Wheatley, Amy (Keith) Mescha and Matthew (Diane) Wheatley. Proud grandpa of Thomas, James, John, Makayla, Maggie, Molly, Matthew, Caleigh, Emma, Morgan, Breeanna, Shane, Triston and Kyle. Devoted brother of Eileen Flis and the late Dolores Cooney and Rose Jauch. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday 9:15am from the Brady-Gill Funeral Home 16600 S. Oak Park Ave. Tinley Park, to St. Stephen Church. Mass 10:00am. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3-9pm. Praying that happy memories will soon overcome the pain of losing him. Father to my child, he was always special to me even though we parted years ago. His humor and talents were unique. He is gone too soon.
