My Dear cousin Jere Lou, My heart is heavy with sorrow at your passing. I was so hoping we could finally get to talk face to face one day soon. We had so many years to catch up on. When we were young we spent so many hours playing with our catalog cutouts. We would meet at Grandma Gramm's and play until she made us go to bed. So many wonderful childhood memory's. My only consolation, you are now with your mother, my Dear Aunt Rosemary and my mother. My heart goes out to your husband Dale and your brothers Jim and Jack. They will miss you greatly. I know you were very loved. Love from Me, Barbara and all your cousins, the Santangelo girls, Elizabeth, Judy, Bunny and all our children and grandchildren.

I first met Jere in 2000 when I started to work with Craig Tobin at his law firm. Jere sat me down and with superb professionalism and a great sense of patience explained to me exactly how the office functioned. We became friends immediately and I was truly impressed with her kindness and generosity to all she worked with.

Our friendship continued after I reentered the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq in 2004. Jere would email me to make sure someone was taking care of my dog 'buddy" while I was away and would keep me informed as to what was going on back in the office and in Chicago. She also sent me care packages which always hit home. I was blessed to have met Jere and I offer my sincere prayers to her friends and family.

Jere you were simply the best!We never could have been a successful lawfirm without you but most importantly we all were better people for knowing and loving you. I will miss you dearly but I will never plant a flower or think about spring without thinking about you. You were courageous but I am glad your suffering is over. Now you will make heaven a better place

I remember when you came to St. George Grade School, when you were nine or ten. What courage it took to enter a classroom when you knew no one. You were a steel magnolia. All my sympathy to your family.
