Joyce Purser nee Harris. age 88. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Purser Jr. Loving mother of Nancy, Marie, Cindy, Judy and Mary. Cherished Granny of 14; Great-Granny of 21; Great-great-Granny of 1. Dear sister of the late Thomas “Pete” Harris. Joyce will always be remembered for her artistic talent, from the beautiful homemade coloring books, her lovely poetry, outrageous witty storytelling and her gorgeous handmade sewn pillows that were once sold to raise money for charity. Visitation Wednesday 5 to 8 pm at the Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Services 7:00 pm. Interment private. My Dear Granny,

Words can not explain how much I will miss you. You will forever be in my heart and thoughts. Im so sorry that I could not be there for you. I wish we had more time together. But I cherish the times we did have. Thank you for being such a funny loving person. I will never forget all the stories you have told me and the laughs we shared together. Oh and thank you for telling me I was allergic to chocolate, Its because of you I have a beautiful smile. I love you granny. I know that your in a better place. xoxo

Granny you will be missed so much. I will never forget your hilarious stories or wonderful sense of humor. I'll always remember and cherish our times together especially when I was little and you would make me notebooks filled with beautiful pictures to color. I'm so happy you were able to do that for my girls also. I miss and love you Granny.

Mrs. Purser was a hoot and a half. So quirky and hilarious. She had to be to put up with the lot of 5 girls...each of them mirrors of their mom and dad. I know you will be missed. I'm so glad to have known you when I was a teen. You certainly enriched my life.
