96 years young, I hope we will have all the strength, spirit and love of life she shared with you and your family Mary. Although I only met her once at one of your backyard summer evening get-togethers, she seemed always happy. No pain should you feel because she would feel it too, I believe that. Tears and sorrow are understood and memories of time past. Love, Bea

To Mary

It has been such a pleasure to know Tatiana over the years, to listen to her tell stories and to enjoy her good company, whether in Chicago or Michigan. As you know, on our walls we have several great photos Chris took of Tatiana. I will remember her best sitting next to my mom enjoying a beer on our screen porch on a summer afternoon. I wish we could be there to celebrate her life with you all on Monday, but we can only be there in spirit. We will raise a our glasses to her. Love,

To Mary and your whole family

I am of course with you in spirit here in Boston. Your mother was a wonderful person and an important link to the past; I treasure having known her and being admitted into her world. With much love, Sonia

I remember so fondly the short time I spent with your Mother, she was so proud of you. We are so sorry for your loss, and hope that happy memories will soon crowd out the sorrow.

My dear Marijka,

We were so sorry to hear of your mother passing away. All three of us have very fond memories of Tatiana, many of which involve delicious food, Ukranian music and, always, laughter! Tatiana was very very lucky to have you take such good care of her.

One memory remains with me very strongly. We were in Navy Pier, and as we were walking by a store, your mother saw something and made some comment about how nice it was, and you immediately went inside to buy it for her. She turned to me and whispered, getting all emotional: "I am so lucky to have Mary as a daughter. She is so good to me." And she was absolutely right.

Our thoughts are with you and the rest of the family.

Else, Vladimir & Ludmila
