Joe was allways so great to talk and reminisce with. A great sole. A greater man i will ever meet. I'll miss him so much, and the the great talks. My regrets to a great family.

"God saw you getting tired
And a cute was not to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, come to me.

With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Gone yet not forgotten
Although we are apart
your spirit lives within me
Forever in my heart"

I miss and love you grandpa, you will always be in my heart. The memories will be cherished through generations to come. Give Nanny a kiss from the girls and I as we will forever look up to you both as you look over our family until we meet again. Continue to dance with the angels Grandpa!

See you in church!

Grandpa, I have so many great memories of you through out my life. You were always there to listen to me and help me. I will never forget all you did for our family. We were all so blessed to have you in our lives. My heart hurts with you gone, but I know you are no longer in pain and happy at last with Nanny. I will miss you so much and I hope you will look down on us from time to time and give us guidance.
I love you grandpa.

Grandpa, you have given us all so many great, funny memories that we will talk about for the rest of our lives. You were generous, and loving.. and never lost your sense of humor. I feel empty without you here.. but I know you are finally at peace. No more worries, and no more pain. I love you grandpa, keep looking down & guiding us until we meet again.

Grandpa, You are going to be missed so much by me. You have always been there for me good and bad, wish I could be in Chicago at this time, with our family, but I am seeking what you have wanted out of me for so many years; a new life, a new start. So with tears in my eyes I can crack a smile knowing your looking down proud. Tell Nanny I love her and miss her. Love you Gramps, See you in Church!

We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
We think of you in silence, We often speak your name
All we have now are memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake with whom we will never part.
God has you in His keeping, We have you in our hearts.
If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place, No one else can ever fill
It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone,
For a part of us went with you the day God took you home.

RIP Grandpa may you lay easy with your wife. See you in Church! xoxoxoxoxox

It's been days, but I'm still hurting as if I got the phone call this morning.. I lost not only my grandfather, but also my god father, and best friend. Knowing I'll never be able to just 'swing by' after work to talk about everything and anything, to sneak you over your favorite Krispy Kremes, to vent about things bothering me, to have many good laughs; it hurts. The last conversation we had was about Hitler. There was a documentary about the Holocaust on the television in the hospital room you were in, and you just continued to repeat how smart of a man Hitler was, but how he was stupid to do what he did. How he could have done anything, but chose to do wrong and how that disgusted you. But after our chat, I went to kiss your head, as I also did, and I missed because the ‘annoying table’ was in my way. You looked at me and said, "what kind of kiss was that!" It's the little moments we shared that will always stick out to me. I’m trying to be strong, because I know that’s what you would have wanted. You’re the reason I’m at where I am today, and I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done. You will always be my hero Grandpa, and as painful as it is, it's wonderful knowing you're not suffering anymore. I miss you so much and I’ll love you forever. See you in church Grandpa.
