I first met Ryan when we worked together at Black Diamond in 2006. We were fast friends.
Ryan was one of the funnest, kindest, most generous, and easy going people I'd ever met. We shared so many similar interests.

It was my great honor to know him, and have him in my life.
He was there when my wife Jess and I tied the knot in 2008.
He was one of the first people I called when I learned I was going to be a father, late last year. Ryan was over the moon about being "Uncle Ryan," yet again, to another new member of our crew.

I was crushed when he moved to LA... but we never lost touch.
While I didn't get to see him as much, we still talked all the time, and I knew he was happier person, to be experiencing new things and living in California.
I was very much looking forward to making my annual journey to see him in April, for one of our favorite things to do together. Coachella Music Festival. It will never be the same without him.
Much like myself, Ryan loved music. We'd attended countless shows and music festivals together over the years, creating a life long bond over music.
Ryan saw thousands of acts in his lifetime, and experienced the best of music first hand. He was a true aficionado.

Jess and I would like to offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, and his many friends.
Ryan's love and undeniable spirit touched the lives of so many people.
He will be missed very dearly by my family and I.

Much Love Ryan. We miss you already.
